Right after opened, a skunky smell arose, but then was gone. Then it was more of a yeast smell. Color is plain golden, with considerable head, presumably from carbonation. Palate on this one is good, not too strong or overpowering. Flavor is citrusy, but with nothing really great about it. rickgordon (3878) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUN 8, 2003
Golden color. White diminishing head. Yeasty aroma, yeasty flavor. Dry and spicy. lachesis (757) - St Idesbald, BELGIUM - JAN 4, 2005
Thick blond beer with the color of honey and a lively caracter. It has a fluffy white head and an intens aroma. The nose is malty, sweet, nutty (cachuwnuts), honeyed and round. The taste smooth and warm (Alcohol). In the taste you can find hints of sweet corn, honey, malts peache sirup and a little hops. tiggmtl (4544) - East York, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 10, 2005
Strong alcohol, bubblegum incense-like cedar woodiness, sweet malts and a sulfurous note in the aroma. Very clear, pale, golden-coloured body with decent white head that recedes to generous cover with patchy lacing. Sweet malts and pie-crust like doughy yeast flavours are simple but enjoyable. Fair note of alcohol and definite alcohol warming. Medium body but somewhat still and plain in the mouth. Bottle (Best Before 12/06) enjoyed with MartinT and Rastacouere. mdi (573) - Nebraska, USA - JAN 11, 2005
33cl bottle, dated 12-04. Pours murky gold without any real head. Aroma of alcohol drenched tropical fruits. Drinks the same way, some substantial sweetness, a lot of heat. But not horrible. Way too hot for me to say it has any grace. I wonder what would be if they knocked this down 2%ABV? May be even boozier than Westmalle, which this tried to copy.

A beautifull foam had my kasteelbier, it was not too cold. But there was too much alcohol taste. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - OCT 13, 2005
(750ml bottle, Jan 2004 vintage) Pours a lightly cloudy golden body with a medium-sized white head. Aroma of mustiness, orange peel, and florals. Flavor of spicy yeast and light citrus. ThomasE (5174) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 3, 2005

Clear yellow coloured with a medium sized white head.
Aroma of fruits with notes of spices and light acidic notes.
Fruity flavour with notes of spices and alcohol.
Powerfull, but too much alcohol. bikesandbeers (547) - san diego, California, USA - NOV 30, 2005
Hazy golden with asmall white head. smells like a strong blond, yeasty with some swet malt. Flavor issweet and slightly spicy, with citrus and alcohol. Would probaly benefit from some ageing, but as I tried it, it was too unbalenced to be really drinakble
