From the Bottle at Chris O’s pre GBBF tasting, Kensal Rise 31/07/2010 Some cherry fruit aroma. Red coloured and strong in alcohol. A little rich and sweet on the palate with a honey flavour. Cherry fruit flavoured finish.

[email protected] Ruby red colour, no head. Aroma is honey, some alcohol and some very mild cherries. Flavour is cherries, honey, mild wooden notes as well. Quite balanced and not all too sweet.

Labeled as Bea’s sweet cherry honey mead lists an ABV of 10%: No cherry is detected on the nose, just honey, warm. Clear ruby red, still. Cherry and concord grape flavor with a tantalizing transition to honey. Medium body, good balance, alcohol tasteful. Well done. Don’t let the cheesy US label fool you, this is delicious mead.

( 750ml bottle thanks to BMan1113VR) Pours garnet red with decent legs. Nose of alcohol, apple cider, and cherries. Taste of warming alcohol, cherry syrup and the finish is slightly cloying.

Bottle 75 cl. Pours a clear berry red. The aroma has a lot of tart berries - redcurranct and blackcurrant. Medium body, there’s a little underlying honey but the tart berries prevail. Not bad though. 090710

750 ml bottle. Clear, red body with some bubbles, but no head. Aroma has honey, cherry and some almond. Flavor is sweet honey with cherry and some warming alcohol. Fine balanced body and quite pleasant aftertaste with more distinct cherry flavor. Quite nice, easy drinkable and balanced between sweet honey end berries. Quite unusually, but I kinda like it.

Bottle courtesy of BMan1113VR. Clear cherry cough syrup appearance. Smell is lots of honey with a touch of cherry. Some dry scents. Taste is bright cherry that turns into sickly sweet honey. Finish reminds you of the flavor packed into this. Strongly flavored.
