Draft. A very pretty copper, the color of an old penny, with a fuzzy sand-colored head. Toffee-forward aroma, with subtle earthy hops and milk chocolate in the background. The flavor is fairly sweet up front, leading with caramel used sugar before Ritz crackers, earthy hops and very soft notes of lightly buttered toast move in. Smooth light body; mild CO2. Finished clean, with a fair amount of lingering hop bitterness. kaser (6366) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 1, 2015
A nice red. Aroma doesn't bring much. Taste delivers. A fruity upfront taste with a bitter finish. Pleasant. Light red color with tons of sticky head. Poured from draft at Kauai Island Brewing tap room, part of a flight. Carlisle (786) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 4, 2015
Draft at Kauai Brewing in Kauai, Hawaii. Excellent.

For a red ale it's very solid. Highly drinkable and enough complexity to make it above but not well above average. Fire red color nice.
Draft at Dolphin in Poipu.

Draft at the brewpub.
Head is mostly diminishing.
Body is medium to dark amber.
Aroma is moderately malty (cookie, caramel), lightly to moderately hoppy (apricot, grapefruit), lightly yeasty (dough), with a note of gum.
Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation.
Another sourish, dull entry from Kaua’i Island. Not very tasty, but ok.

Muddy amber-brown. Aroma is mostly sweet caramel and toffee. Sweet, a little bit earthy, just a touch of bitterness. A bit simple, not bright. DuffMan (10596) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 5, 2014
On tap @ the brewpub in Port Allen, Kauai, Hawaii. Medium copper, clear. Aroma of past-ripe papaya and wet forest floor. Caramel and light ripe tropical fruits, with a tea-like tannic bitterness. bnoel09 (588) - Elk Grove, California, USA - AUG 5, 2013
Red with a tan head. Aroma is very mild but well balanced. Flavor is also on the mild side but well balanced with light sweetness from the malt and some earthy hops. Very smooth mouthfeel, likely due to the crystal malt. Light/medium bodied. Not an over the top red, but quite sessionable. adamah (214) - California, USA - MAY 18, 2013
Very mild aromas, couldn’t pick them out after some hoppier beers. Light bodied and had a very lively mouthfeel that I enjoyed. The flavor was mostly bitter, not their most balanced beer. dfinney23 (3395) - Houston, Texas, USA - OCT 5, 2012
Appropriately reddish pour. Nice hop/malt balance in the taste and aroma, starting malty and finishing with a hoppy kick.
