Pours a deep caramel body with a modest, creamy tan head. The aroma is a tad light, but filled with dark caramel with milk chocolate. Rather thin bodied, perhaps a bit watery. Tasty, tho’ - caramel with chocolate and dark brown sugar. Just a bit too thin, and could use more carbonation.jonas (7748) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - DEC 31, 2004

Slightly roasted aroma.
Chestnust hue, creamy lacing head.
A bit bready, otherwise very much a standard dunkles.
I’m following The_Beer_God around ... had this also at Bier Garden, Portsmouth VA on 8/30/04. It’s dark brown, thinly headed. And it hits you .. Pow! Roasted brown sugar, highly alcoholed. TheBeerGod (6241) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - AUG 15, 2004
Had this at Bier Garden in Portsmouth VA on 8-15-04. Pours brown with splashes of red blended into it. Nice medium tan head. Aroma is nicely malted with light wheat, caramel, and faint yeast. Taste is more malt and caramel, with some mild spice. Distant fruit tastes come through as well. Mouthfeel is moderate with a balanced carbonated feel to it. Some spice coming through as well. Finish is light caramel with mild spice and yeast. Pretty good stuff! mixamatt (427) - San Francisco, California, USA - SEP 17, 2003
Malty caramel chocolate aroma.Dark amber appearance with small head.Well balanced sweet dry malty chocolate flavor with a slight grape kool aid taste to it.

Overall wasnt bad and not too complex. The colour was light brown with a moderate to large head that quickly goes down. Roasted malts with a mild earthy or malty flavor. jerohen (2319) - Bussum, NETHERLANDS - AUG 17, 2003
Mmm, i'm disappionted by seeing all these low ratings, i thought it was quite nice. Clear brown, some coffee and roasted malts in aroma and flavour. Dry finish. caesar (7165) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - AUG 17, 2003
Clear brown color, sparkling body. Sweet toffee aroma. Caramelly malty taste. Sticky palate. motelpogo (7704) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - NOV 27, 2002
starts promisingly but then tastes mainly of sultanas and dirt.............. jaymobrown (1845) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 29, 2002
The thick creamy head mellows out to a thin foam. Appearance is a dark coffee brown with reddish tints. A spicy malt nose with what I think is spinach. Nice roasted malts creates a subtle yet complex flavor. Very dry aftertaste.
