UPDATED: FEB 29, 2008 Smells okay, a little too wheaty almost. Taste is pretty decent, but also a little wheaty and a bit warm. Not really what I expected. Okay. Score 3.2
Same general comments this time. More malt than you expect.

Bottle from Liquid Solutions. Aroma has an almost berry sweetness along with grainy malt that has a delicate sweetness. The body is clear light gold/yellow with a slightly diminishing two finger thick tan head.
Lightly sweet fore is a touch watery and followed by sweet malt, cereal grains, a light bitterness in the fore keeps it in check. Fairly enjoyable lager. muenster (345) - Sevierville, Tennessee, USA - NOV 6, 2006
Bottle. Pours pale blonde/gold with a small white head. The aroma is full of hayfield qualities, as well as some sweet malts and yeast. This beerr is very dry, and quite refreshing. I don’t usually use the adjective ’refreshing’ when describing a beer, but this beer really is. The flavor is sweet light malts, and a slightly hoppy quality that goes very well with the crisp carbonation. Not usually my choice of beer, but this has definitely peaked my interest in the style. harlequinn (2744) - Tacoma, Washington, USA - AUG 6, 2006
This was very nice. Aroma is very clean as is the flavor. A slightly sweet doughy aroma, with some very nice carbonation levels. Just a bit sweet, bit a bit of spicy hoppiness, and a nice amount of citric acidity. Lingering bittersweet finish. JPDIPSO (6216) - Wauwatosa, USA - JAN 13, 2006
Lightly hazed straw color with a fingers worth of rather dense off-white foam. Mildly citric aromas coupled with a fresh scone scent. LIghtly spritzy on the tongue.Light pale malt are the players in this one with only a touch of acidic and herbal hops to balance the light sweetness. A rather delicate pils. I am assuming this was only made for export as I see no one from europe has rated this one. AToo much citrus for my tastes. I do have to agree with Ernest that this does get better as it warms.

Bottle 0204: Beer pours very pale gold color with a nice sized modertely retained egg white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is fairly benign, however what is ther is some straw, some malty bread notes, and a dash of hop spiciness. The hops really come through in the flavor and this beer has a nice hop bitterness in the flavor. Some good malt bread flavors make this beer a winner. Bottle, 02/04. Pours gold with a frothy rocky white head. Malt (straw, meal) and yeast (horse blanket) aroma with potato notes. Light and bitter malt with yeast flavor. Light bodied and lively carbonation. shrubber85 (11324) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - JUN 19, 2005
Bottle. Creamy malt and moderate hops aroma. Golden yellow color with slight efferverscence and head. Creamy malt equally blended with hops and an interesting sweet apple finish. Nice body. Nice drinkable German pilsener - slightly better than average but not spectacular. austinpowers (2828) - New York, New York, USA - MAR 15, 2005
I see that this beer is in the 100th percentile by style and I struggle to understand what makes this beer so special. Pretty crisp, but not dry. Lightly sweet and malty with moderate hop bite to be expected for the style. A little maltier than one might expect. DarkElf (3062) - La Jolla, California, USA - FEB 21, 2005
(500 ml bottle: $2.75 at Liquid Solutions in Tigard, OR) Sweet and mildly malty, balanced nicely by a lightly bitter and gently spicy hops, there is also a fair amount of corn/grain flavor here. The nose is mostly sweet corn/grain with perhaps just a touch of hops. Nice body for a pilsner. The hops and pronounced carbonation keep the palate clean and lively. Medium yellow in color. The medium size head is very white in color and quickly fades to just a rim, leaving no lacing. This is a good, but not great German pilsner, but would be better if the malt profile had a less pronounced corn flavor.
