Bottled. A light yellow beer with a huge yellowish head. The aroma has notes of sweet malt and hay. The flavor is sweet with notes of hay and citrus as well as lighter notes of malt, bread, and cardboard, leading to a dry bitter finish where the note of hay lingers. The body is light. Rich grainy aroma, raw, almost eco, husky, muesli for stinking hippies. Pale straw colour, brief head. Very pleasant grainy body, some gentle hops, a little bitter herbs. Gets softer and sweeter down the glass. Finish a little tingly, but also a little bit of starchiness, heading towards wallpaper. Palate a little thin, but it’s crisp and refreshing. Easy drinker.
A: The beer pours a clear straw color with a couple fingers of white head.
S: A nice sweetness to the nose with lots of cracker and bready malts. There is a light hoppiness to the nose with plenty of floral and spicy characteristics. A bit of yeast and a light lager yeast aroma, too.
T: Probably a bit better in terms of the flavor. A slight sweet apple note followed by lots if yeast and cracker malts, along with the bread and biscuit notes. Just a hint of hop bitterness and a nice floral flavor.
M: Light to medium in body with a medium carbonation.
O: A really nice crisp pils. Very easy to drink and easy to enjoy on a warm evening. bhensonb (15500) - Woodland, California, USA - APR 2, 2008
Bottle. Grassy, nigh floral aromas. Gold color with a decent white head. Near medium in body with smooth, almost creamy, carbonation. Flavor is a bit herbal, with some breadiness, and a good amount of bitter. Finish is crisp and clean, with a mildly dry bitterness. Not a Czech pils, but a good lager.
