looks unassuming enough... golden straw color, nice tight head. nose of light caramel, cereal bread dough. taste a bit of cornflakes on the front, but finishes lightly sweet and grainy. just a bit watery in the mouth. this is an enjoyable beer paired with Thai food or by itself. refreshing and highly drinkable. I’d come back to it when in the mood for such.
16.9-ounce bottle for 99 cents! Pours a slightly hazy gold with a thin, foamy white head tha diminishes quickly to a skim layer. Smells of malts and corn. Tastes sweet with corn and light hops. Pretty good for a buck! jtclockwork (17070) - , New Jersey, USA - JUL 25, 2012
Bottle. Pours clear orange gold with white head. Nose/taste of sweet malt, light breads and corn. Finishes slightly grainy/sweet. Lighter to medium body. Inoffensive but plain. jkwood04 (5463) - Connecticut, USA - MAR 24, 2012
500ml bottle in a lager glass. Pours deep golden with a thick, off-white head. Aroma of caramel and slightly nutty malts, plus some light hops. The malt flavor is interesting, but there needs to be more. Average texture. A decent beer. mansquito (6784) - Nueva York, New York, USA - DEC 9, 2011
Chevy Chase, DC 500ml ($4): Pours a golden color with some small white head. Aroma is pretty light. It is partially vegetal. Hops are pretty subdued, but malts don’t shine like they do in some marzens. Taste is fine. Sweet towards the finish and the aftertaste. Really little hop flavour throughout. Not one of the better marzens I’ve had, but drinkable aplenty. weihenweizen (4041) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - AUG 24, 2011
Refrigerated bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a light golden with small white head. Medium carbonation, some lacing, and thin body. Taste is light malt. Much more like a dortmunder than octoberfest.

Bottle: Pours a hazy gold color with a fizzy white head. The nose is toasty and creamy with a lightly fruity malt note and lingering hops. The flavor is balanced with more toasty malts and a sweet mouthfeel. Chewy and clean, nice marzen. beersearcher (2382) - Glendale, California, USA - JAN 15, 2011
Pours a bright yellow. This is a standard German beer to me. Straightforward and fairly plain. Would be better almost as a lighter ABV brew and made more sessionable. scottw86 (1178) - Maryland, USA - NOV 21, 2010
Poured a very pale and clear yellow, with a small white head that faded quickly. Aroma is like most marzens with pale malts and spices. Slightly skunky however. Taste is pretty watery, but there are some decent malt flavors with some grass and corn. Overall decent, and very drinkable. Papsoe (25059) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 1, 2009
Bottle 50 cl. Clear yellow with a white head. Clean malty aroma. Medium body, a little low in carbonation, clean malty accents and a whiff of sulphur. No bitterness. 100709
