The aroma is medium malty and light to medium hoppy with tones of mild roast, nuts, dark bread, clean caramel, watery dark syrup, herbs, grass and hints of vegetables/sweet asparagus. Undertones of nectar/roses, light honey and dark fruits like prunes and raisins alongside a very subtle hint of smoke. Dark brown beer with an orange-gold shine; end of a rim for head. I would venture some smoked malt in the nose! For the rest, classical, bready, sweet-ish notes with some vegetal, fresh hints. Sweet main taste, slightly bitterish, earthy & leafy as it ought to be! Light to medium bodied, rather good carbonation. Very tasteful Dunkel. Well worth looking for. Ochsenfurt is supposed to be very nice as well, and maybe a bit overlooked by the classical beertrails.
