Koelschtrinker (21489) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 18, 2011

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. It’s an unclear one, almost brown in color and with a finger-thick soon diminishing off-white head. A quite uninteresting blend of banana and caramel in the aroma, some cloves chiming in. The flavor has caramel in the back, with banana and cloves up front. Not much bitterness detected neither in the initial flavor nor in the end. Medium body, a bit low on carbonation for the style, not that I’m rating to style. 110318

shrubber85 (11618) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - OCT 16, 2004
Bottle. Light banana, clove and malt aroma. Dark cloudy cola brown color. Nice flavor - malt well blended with fruit flavor with mild hops bitterness and minimal sweetness - rather complex but not as strong as some dunkels. Would be perfect if it had a bit more of a ’bite’.

pivnizub (10811) - Bochum, Porř, GERMANY - DEC 22, 2008
Bottle. Hazy, mahagony coloured, big, quite quickly diminishing, beige head. Fruity and malty-chocolatey nose. Moderate sweetish-sourish flavour, silky Mf, light to medium bodied. Dark-malty anfd fruity finish with traces of cacao. Pleasant sample of this style......
