Aroma: 6/10; Appearance: 7/10; Flavor: 6/10; Palate: 6/10; Overall: 11/20
Deep yet clear mahogany/black body under a slow settling, creamy head of tan. Sweet, chocolate ice cream aroma with the here-and-there of roasted grains and molasses. Mild alcohol shows late. Full bodied. Thick and creamy with an ever so slight tinge of tinfoil. Chocolate syrup and wort flavor with a touch of roast coffee bitterness. Quite a good stout that I am happy to have cellared for six months before drinking.

Tap @ Stout, NYC. Pours a deep opaque black with a nice frothy off-white head. Aroma is chocolate, caramel, and roasted malt. Taste is chocolate up front with a malt and milky aftertaste. Very smooth and drinkable throughout. An enjoyable sweet stout, to be sure. CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - NOV 19, 2007
Bottle sampled on 9/16/07: Pours a mostly opaque with dark mahogany edges and a frothy, wispy-lacing light tan head. Aroma of sweet dark chocolate caramel with some lightly roasted notes. Body starts sweet and dark chocolatey with good malted milk flavor and a smooth, full body. Nicely-balanced, enjoyable and unique. A great sweet stout.

Aroma is sweet chocolate malt and dark molasses.
Flavor is mostly sweet chocolate and molasses also. Not much astringency, slight bitterness, with no great amount of lingering finish.
Very drinkable and decent. sliffy (2040) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - OCT 31, 2007
Bottle: Pours a dark brown to black with a tan head. Aroma, buttery, some coffee, dark fruits and chocolate. Flavor, chocolate, coffee, some fruits, sweet with some buttery notes on the tail end. Smooth, and sweet, medium bodied. RblWthACoz (964) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - SEP 28, 2007
Pours a pitch black with no head after a minute. Nose is mostly roasted character. Flavor is sweet with a roasted tone that borders on being "burnt". Feel is heavy on the bubble hitting the tongue and the liquid feel is pretty decently thick also. Drinkable, yes. A fairly smooth and even milk stout.

This beer was solid black, and had thick brown head. It was like drinking alcoholic chocolate milk. Chapel (468) - Levittown, New York, USA - SEP 22, 2007
Dark as night with a brown head. Somewhat malty chocolate flavor and aroma. As the description says it is a very good representation of the style. If you like this also try Sam Adams Cream Stout.
