UPDATED: AUG 14, 2017 On tap at Planet Oedipus Festival 2017 on 13-Aug-2017. Reddish golden amber colour with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma of peat. Full body and soft/medium carbonation. Taste of smoked cheese and ham. Medium sweetness. Gets a little too much but if you like smoked beers, this is a good one.

alteregoo (1495) - Kalisz, POLAND - AUG 5, 2017
Piękna, drobniutka, kremowa i trwała piana, barwa herbaciana, opalizująca.
Generalnie przypomina mi to słodszą wersję Preparatu z Artezana. Po raz kolejny utwierdzam się w przekonaniu, że to samo piwo bez słodów wędzonych zyskałoby znacznie...

Bottled 330ml (Etre-Gourmet)
Ruby-amber colour, medium-sized beige head and lace. Strong smoked ham in the nose with some wood. Full-bodied. Very sweet, covers ABV well. Smoked ham -smoke dominates. Soft palate with light berryness. Smoke is quite rough (or tough) here. Improves by aging.

Stuu666 (13616) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 12, 2017
Bottle at home. Pours deep amber, nose is smoked sausage, malty, toffee, caramel, taste is similar, light citrus fruit, slightly reminiscent of schlenkerla.

Benzai (15726) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - JUL 11, 2017
Bottle @ home. Medium to full sized beige head that looks quite dense and stable on top of a beautiful dark red-amber colored beer. Aroma is quite heavily smoked, smoked bacon. Not at all your regular barley wine. Taste is quite sweet with even more of the smoke and smoked bacon. And to be honest, combined with the sweetness, I really dislike it. I can’t even finish half a glass of this. Really not my thing. Too bad, there goes another 4 euros down the drain...:/

DwarfeD (3540) - Amersfoort, NETHERLANDS - JUL 11, 2017
33cl bottle at home. Somewhat pale dark mahogany with a small off-white head. Full body with low carbonation. Quite sweet with subtle bitter smoky tones. Caramel, malts, smoke, prune and brown sugar. A tad too sweet.

MarcoDL (5028) - NETHERLANDS - JUL 9, 2017
Bottle. Copper color. Aroma of strong bacony smoke, caramel and ripe fruit. Taste has sweet raisin, smoke, caramel, bacon, dates, malt and molasses. Bit too sweet for me, some more bitter hop would have been nice.

Maakun (5748) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - JUL 7, 2017
Bottle shared at THT July. Slight hazy amber with beige head. Sweet malts, quite some smoke, herbs, caramel, ash. Quite sweet with smoky bitterness. Over medium bodied. Too smoked for me.

Svartvit (628) - NETHERLANDS - JUL 7, 2017
Bottle shared at the July THT. Pours a slightly hazy caramel with an off-white head. Smoke, sweet malts, bacon, bbq. Too meaty.
