caesar (7047) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - MAY 28, 2017
Bottle, 15 cl sample. Dark color, short frothy head. Aroma of roasty malts, dark choc and slight peated whisky. Roasty bitterness, bit cookie sweetness but not a lot and slight boozy whisky. Lacks a bit the body of the regular Kees RIS, and I prefer the barrel aging to add some sweetness instead. Decent, but not outstanding.

Benzai (15340) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - MAY 27, 2017
Bottle shared by Caesar @ his place. Opaque pitch black color, small off-white to light brown colored head that diminishes fairly quickly. Aroma is malts, dark malts, dark chocolate, some barrel. Taste malts, dark malts, light chocolate, malt bitter, dry earthy bitter. Overall: too dry peaty imo.

Bottled, big thanks to Arjen. Black appearance. Aroma of roasted malts, nuts, whisky, caramel. Bittersweet flavor, boozy, some ashes. The whisky versions dont really seem to work for me, worst of the series so far.

Flavor is sweet and bitter, dark bitter chocolate, whisky, roast, malt. Finish is dark chocolate bitter with some booze. Overall: very good, feels like liquid dark chocolate with some whisky in it.

SlackerMads (3350) - DENMARK - MAY 17, 2017
Bottle received in the local European swap thanks to Christos. Pours thick and black with a small dark brown head with good retention and regeneration. The nose has liquorice all sorts, dark chocolate, brown sugar and molasses. The flavour has dark wood, liquorice, light tobacco, light peated smoke, brown sugar and molasses. Full body, oily texture, low carbonation, some warming alcohol. A bit hot finish. Ok.
