TBone (18551) - Pori, - SEP 25, 2017
Bottled 330ml (Etre-Gourmet)
Opaque colour, small steady creamy brownish head, lace. Cocoa, peat, smoke, alcohol in the nose. Full-bodied. Sweetish front, then cocoa, roasted malts, peat, wood in the flavour. Nicely warming. Well in balance, well-done barreling. Seems that it is much better bottle than some raters had in the spring.

Bouteille @ Tderoeck's pre New Year diner. Thanks Tim.

UPDATED: NOV 26, 2017 Sampled from 0.33 l bottle from 'Bierhalle Deconinck', bottled in February 2017. Pitch black with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly smoky aroma of dark chocolate, licorice, coffee and some peat. Quite sweet, malty, smoky taste of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, iodine and some green apples, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty-bitter, rather smoky and slightly boozy finish. Medium to full body, slightly creamy and a bit effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay.

Bottled from HetBierMoment.nl. Black appearance, small brown head. Aroma of whisky, roasted malts, some peat, wood, alcohol, very nice. Super smooth mouthfeel, loads of roasted malts, caramel, wood, some peat, hint of iodine. Tastes like a silky version of a whisky. I'm surprised to see the relatively low ratings, i really like it.

Pour opaque black with dissipating brown creamy head. Aroma: steaight peat from whiskey, roasted grain, malts...flavor follows aroma: intense peated (whiskey), roasted grain, malts with notes of coffee, caramel, chocolate, hint of vanillin...dry bitter finish, gentle alcohol warmth. Full body, smooth texture, moderate carbonation.

UPDATED: NOV 9, 2017 Geur: biscuit, lichte kokos, koffie, vanille, eierlikeur (advocaat), alcoholisch. Smaak: licht zoet, koffie macchiato, geroosterd, klein bittertje, wat noterig. Duidelijk verbeterd met wat rijpen op fles! 6/9/2017 3,4/5 EBC 110 EBU 80.
