Peu d'amertume. Très bonne.

Very yeastie double IPA this, but not the sophisticated brew that IIPAs can be, but still a nice effort to brew a strong IPA nonetheless.

[email protected] - quite clear golden bronze beer with a creamy beige foam left; aroma of rye and quinces; full-bodied, sweet, light chewy; late tart grainy with residual sugars and more notes of quinces and mango marmalade - very aromatic

UPDATED: DEC 10, 2017 .330 bottle at home. Appearance - golden in color, with a medium-high head that disappears in a couple of minutes. Aroma - a very sweet smell, with hints of mandarins and tropical fruits, herbal hop notes and hints that reminds me of rum. Palate - medium body, medium carbonation and a medium-high bitterness that mellows with time. Taste - good use of hops in this beer; citrus fruits, especially grapefruit, herbal hops, pine notes, some rye spiciness and sweetness, toasted malt and hints of honey. Aftertaste - good balance; starts bittersweet, but the medium bitterness takes over quickly, although it doesn't linger for very long; a medium-dry finish with a bit of alcoholic burn. Overall - very interesting beer, bittersweet, but well balanced, good use of hops and a tad spicy from the rye; the alcohol is quite noticeable, but the beer remains easy to drink.

50 cl. bottle @ Home. Aroma: not very intense aromas. Grapefruit, tropical fruits, floral, alcohol, toasted malts, pine, resin. Very light dark dried fruits nuances. Appearance: golden to amber color with off-white head. Medium to high head thickness, medium to high retention. Low Brussels' lacing. Medium hazyness. Taste: low to medium sweetness, medium to high bitterness, low sourness. Flavors of grapefruit, tropical fruits, toasted malts, a bit of caramel, biscuit, a bit of dark dried fruits (raisins, prunes), alcohol. Balance is on the bitter side. Quite sweet at first, but more and more bitter toward the end. Palate: medium body, watery to oily texture, low carbonation, very long dry finish with medium bitterness and flavors of toasted malts, caramel, biscuit, grapefruit, tropical fruits, dark dried fruits (raisins, prunes), pine, reisin and maybe some rum overtones. Alcohol is not very noticeable in the flavor, but it is too much noticeable through its lingering throat warming effect. Spicy mouthfeel. Overall: not very intense but pleasant aromas. Very good flavors, but the alcohol has too much presence and its warming effect makes the beer less enjoyable. Overall, a very good beer.
