Opaque dark brown beer, good pale tan head. Smooth softish palate, decent fine carbonation. There is an initial smokey hit that seems strong but quickly integrates in to soft tangy dark malts, semi sweet. Little chocolate. Stronger tangy fruits, dark fruits too. Touch of spice. Rich and tasty beer, I would say style is Smoked.

UPDATED: JAN 28, 2018 Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Cotteridge, Birmingham, consumed sat in Frank at Chapel Lane campsite Wythall, in the company of Isobel and Berry, Saturday 27th January 2018 Pours black with a mid sized cappuccino coloured head. Really smokey, a bit of coffee, a touch meaty in the background. Soft in the mouth, smooth, there is a little milk chocolate. I like this, it won't appeal to all but its a good beer. Bottled 330ml (Beer Republic)
Opaque colour, small brownish head. Aroma is roasted malts, coffee, alcohol and peated smoke. Medium-bodied, suprisingly thin for this ABV. Flavour is toasted, some peat, licorice and cold coffee. Should be more robust, now too watery.
