DijkBier (299) - AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS - MAR 17, 2017
Bottle at home, pours a dark reddish brown beer with tan head, quickly diminishing. Aroma of roasted malts, brown sugar, toffee, resin; not very strong. Taste is rather sweet and light bitter, again brown sugar and resin, slightly licorice; in the finish also bitterness of licorice. Quite alcoholic, which gives a slight peppery feel in the finish. Bit low carbonation. Nice, but might have had more complexity or development for such a strong dark beer.
