From tap at Ølbaren. Pours clear and golden orange with a huge, creamy and off-white head. Aroma is light butterish and caramelish roasted malty. Smooth caramelish, light butterish. Mild bitterness and light sweetness. Mild citrusy note, lingering fruity hops flavoured finish. Oakes (17685) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 1, 2009
Bright golden-amber. Thick head. Lots of herbal hops on the nose with a kiss of breadcrusty malt...very appetizing aroma. Rich herbal bitterness, very fresh hop character as well. Dry, but with breadcrusty malts. This has become one of my favourite Bamberger beers. Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 22, 2009
UPDATED: JUL 14, 2009 Draft at brewery. Clear, copper, with great white head that lasts and leaves splotchy lace. Nice malty aroma is bready, with some caramel. Soft mouthfeel. Has a great malt profile with a stunningly good crusty, bitter, fine finish. Very good balanced beer that satisfies those of us with a hankering for liquid bread. Fabulous. Liked it better the second time around...

Bottle. Amber color. Malty aroma with cakedough. Malty, flowery, light hopbiter flavor. Some cake dough showing up again in the aftertaste. Typical Franconian. Tasty, malty sweet and almost fat. imdownthepub (14556) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 12, 2008
On tap at Brauerei Keesmann, Bamberg. Amber beer with white head. Thin and malty lagerbeer, quite dry but carbonated tinny, cardboard. Not the most pleasing of beers nor brewpub. Maria (10212) - Thisted, DENMARK - JUL 7, 2008
Dark amber with a nice, huge and creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and caramel. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of roasted malt, caramel and a slightly metallic, grapefruit-like, dry bitterness. harrisoni (18578) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JUN 7, 2008
500ml bottle at Cambridge BF 08. Amber with lasting beige head. Very tasty lager. Biscuit, bit cakey. Admittedly I expected something a bit more on the helles side. A little toasty. Tasty mid brwon lager, bit of depth. A little bready, fine. Drunk sat under a tree on Jesus Green during the afternoon kick out.
