Tasted this in The Esquire House, Glasgow in January 2006. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear pale straw in colour with a thin white creamy head. Strong tropical fruit salad aroma, long in intensity. Creamy refreshing mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malts give a strong fruit base of lychees, mango, pineapple and honeydew melon. Strong floral notes from the powerful smack of hop resins combine well with the malt. Finish is dry and robust with warming melon liquour notes rich in the mouth. A superb Golden ale, very easy to drink as a session - beware and highly recommended.

Cask at the Battersea Beer Festival, 10th Feb 2010. Clear light amber with a small but persistent white head. Great grapefruit nose - smells like a freshly cut fruit. This is carried through to the taste. Perfect golden ale palate too. One thing done just right, this is a hophead’s delight. mr_h (5840) - Ayr, SCOTLAND - JUN 14, 2010
