On cask at Cross Stobbs Inn, Barrhead - Clear yellow body, white head. Nose is heavy on the citrus, a bit vinegary too. Carries through the taste, lots of hops for a beer its strength, not my cup of tea.

Hello again Kelburn. This is a significant improvement. Sorry I know it’s called beer and yet it’s flat. Perhaps rate beer should create a ’rateflatbeer’ website. Or is there not enough demand for that either?! :P. So anyway as someone from downunder it is an experience to have these ales from cask. The original way. Having had that experience a little too much I have some views on it now. This beer is pretty good. Nice colour. Not much smell. And you tastes more like a summer ale even though it’s December in 3.5 hours and I’m in Scotland. So yes nice hops and lemongrass and berry (blackcurrent with an undertone of gooseberry) flavours. Get another one up ya. Enjoy.

Light golden slightly hazey beer with a small white head. Not a huge aroma but getting some bready pilsner type aroma. Taste is of biscuit going into a lemon malt and then a slow ever increasing slight grapefruit bitterness. Pretty decent, I liked it, without being blown away. Would buy again.

Pours golden with no real head. Aroma sweet, almost treacle. Taste bitter, treacle slight blackcurrant hint, slightly metallic. Nice, it grows on you.

Clear golden beer, tangy grapefruit aroma, tangy-sour citrus flavour. There’s some bitter hop in there but not enough to stop it being a touch sickly. Went a bit flat too but that may be how it was kept. Not bad.

Cask. Some bitterness, fluffy slick glossy head. Some bitterness. Decent grip A decent cask to craft keg hoppyesque beer. Not bad.

Bottle from Growler Beers. Clear golden body with a medium white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of grass, biscuit and pale malt. Flavour of lemony, spicy hops and a grassy finish. Thin body with an oily mouthfeel. Light fizz. A clean, well balanced beer. Decent.

Cask at the Sheffield Tap. Bright golden yellow with a thin layer of white head. Apple and light citrus scent. Balanced bittersweet taste, with grapefruit to the fore. Oily palate. A simple but well-executed beer.
