COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask, Seasonal;
A dark continental lager style ale brewed with an alliance of black, caramalt vienna and lager malt. The black malt is for colour and the vienna and caramalt for smoothness and flavour. German and French hops bolster the flavour with citrus, herbal spicy notes. A cooler fermentation with lager yeast makes a fresh, crisp refreshing beer with subtle toffee, malty undertones.

Cask handpump at The Joseph Else, Nottingham, Saturday 9th April 2016 with dad. Pours dark murky brown with a creamy textured off-white head. Fairly bland and thin and watery offering. There is barely any taste of note all, a little bitterness perhaps but bland, bland, bland. A5 A3 T5 P2 Ov10 2.5

Cask @ Barum Top Inn, Halifax. Crisp and refreshing copper coloured lager with a creamy head. It’s low with its malty character, but very palatable as a session Beer.

Cask conditioned handpump Swan & Rushes Leicester 21/11/12. A dark brown coloured beer with an off-white wisp of head. Sweet and malty. Bready and caramel notes. Presumably German hops (I see from the comm desc there’s French too). I guess it’s not lagered but does have vienna characters together with husky elements. Reasonably good.

Cask conditioned at Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Dark Amber with white head. Quite a fruity, tartish beer but with a fairly heavy caramelisation, toffee character, some bitterness, some grape like notes. Not really to my taste.
