Bottle, Eskview Wines (?) Musselburgh. This is ok, a bit hazy, but light gold with a good white head that leaves a nice lace. Nose is fruity and slightly malty, the same can be said of the flavour. I feel it’s a bit on the sugary side but it’s easy drinking stuff. Similar to its big brother Pale Rider. Finn (7547) - Tromsø, NORWAY - OCT 11, 2006
Cask/gravity at Ipswich beer festival 21 Sep 2006. Clear golden coloured. Tiny head. A cautious malty aroma. Sweet fruity flavour. Slightly dry finish. Nekronos (4175) - Xalapa, MEXICO - JUL 8, 2006
Very nice, but a little normal in flavour, the malty is good but it has some bitter features. Blonde in colour and foam. StueyD (1583) - Heacham, Norfolk, ENGLAND - MAY 7, 2006
A very pale yellow gold coloured beer with a weak white head. A light hop aroma with a hint of malt towards the end. A dry citrus taste of hop, followed by a smooth light, malt flavour. The finish is fairly dry. (Cask - The Fox & Hounds, Heacham, Norfolk). yalnikim (800) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - FEB 23, 2006
Tasted 23/02/2006. 500ml bottle from Rumble’s, Wellington.
Think Kelham Gold, with a little more guts. Looks the same, though laces a little better. Slightly more melon fruit and some lolly-like malt character on the nose. Then a herbal bitterness through the middle. I suspect that Kelham Gold may be from the same mash but watered down to a lower strength.
Again, another extremely well made beer with no outstanding characteristics.
nb: Either these beers are no longer bottle-conditioned or they have the least amount of conditioning yeast I’ve ever seen...

Pale golden colour with very little head. Sweet hoppy aroma and a definite honey note. Taste has a twist of lemon to the fore with a bit of background malt. Not much bitterness. Not much to say... harrisoni (18573) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - AUG 21, 2005
