Cask; Regular. Originally a September 2006 special. Also available bottle conditioned.
A pleasant refreshing golden ale brewed with a blend of pale malts with a hint of crystal malt and roasted barley. The hops are selected from of the best of British fuggles and goldings supplemented with hops from the other side of the Atlantic. The sweet aroma is of incense and elderberry with hints of caramel spicyness for an unforgettable pint.

bartlebier (4084) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - MAY 20, 2017
500ml enjoyed with mixed takeout curries, Sheffield April 2017. - Thinly spread stone fruit jam on a rather diluted malt biscuit: watery pockets and some generic fruit sugars mar the broth before a decent lemony hop twang kicks in towards the finish. Fine with curries though.

Cask at the Post Office Vaults, Birmingham. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light woody resin hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a smooth, malty, yeast, light fruit, hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Towey1989 (3044) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - JAN 7, 2016
Cask at The Earl Grey Inn, Leek. A clear pale amber colour with a medium white head. Aroma of caramel, biscuit, subtle melon and slight floral hops. Taste of caramel, biscuit, subtle spiciness and floral hops. Light bodied and soft carbonation. A dry, biscuity, floral hop bitterness in the finish. Not much complexity in the aroma and flavour. To me, a bland, malty bitter with a floral hop bitterness.

RobBestwick (942) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 28, 2015

Garrold (5433) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - NOV 3, 2015
Bottle. Asda. Clear gold. Film of white. Sweet malts. Some fruit. Taste is mostly sweet. Turns light bitter. Greasy palate. These bottled Kelham Island beers are rank.

dchad56 (519) - - SEP 4, 2015
Bottle - light amber, poured with thick white head and heavy carbonation. Faint caramel / light toffee aroma. Slight ting on tongue and in mouth. Sweet hoppy tasting - ok though nothing special.

Stuu666 (14205) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - FEB 3, 2015
Bottle at home. Pours copper, nose is floral, orange, taste is juicy fruit, sweet toffee.
