Lightly hazed amber with a white head and lace. Aroma is caramel with a hint of vanilla. Sweet caramel malt with a hint of vanilla and a decent light bitter. Medium bodied with smooth carbonation. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - JUN 13, 2010
Clear reddish with no head. Faint malty aroma and taste with some grainy notes. ajm (1072) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JUL 3, 2008
Everything I dislike about Irish reds: thin, no sub-flavors, and a wicked grainy finish like a mouthfull of grass. I wish I could detect the notes that whaleman picks up, because that would have helped it for me. whaleman (2178) - North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 11, 2005
Amber-brown body and silky off-white head that faded. Rich caramel nose with a burnt phenolic note plus butterscotch. Flavor is of over-caramelized malt, a strong grapey fruity quality, and mild diacetyl. Very little hop character.

Pours reddish brown with a thin head. Lightly smokey with a touch of chocolate. Thin finish but a decent brew.
