Growler from Bierkraft. Translucent dark brown with a frothy almond color head. Spotty lacing. Milk chocolate and grainy malt aroma, with some hops coming up underneath. Charred chocolate and coffee flavors, slightly husky and grainy. Some sharp bitterness on the finish, which I think is overly cutting. Serviceable locally brewed Schwartzbier, but nothing special. j12601 (13099) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - DEC 31, 2008
Mini growler at Half-Time. Pours a clear ruby brown color with a medium sized tan head. Sweet malt and chocolate are prominent with a bit of yeast behind. Mouthfeel is medium with a good amount of sweetness and a little chocolate flavor coming through. Finish is also gentle and sweet. puzzl (3264) - New York, New York, USA - DEC 19, 2008
Tap at Fette Sau. Mostly dark pour, nice lacing head. Light touch of milk chocolate in the aroma, kind of corny. Body is light, vegetal, a touch of chocolate, maybe. Creamy and easy drinking. Rciesla (5607) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - DEC 15, 2008
Draft. Pours a brown body. Notes of coco, chocolate, a hint of smoke, caramel, dark fruit. Not bad. jredmond (8645) - New York, New York, USA - SEP 30, 2008
Brewfest NY 08. Man i wish i was able to write down notes at the fest, but it was pouring rain and I had an umbrella in one hand, and my drinking glass in the other. I remember this being below average though. Obviously need to try it again.

Sampled at the NY Brewfest on 9/12. Not able to give a very accurate rating due to the sheer number of brews sampled. Very few ratings on this one.. A unique concept which is very cool. Interesting but an overall total disaster of a beer. I would not consider this a Schwartz goldtwins (4319) - Nesconset, New York, USA - DEC 10, 2007
Brewtopia 07. Poured a mostly clear brown color with an off-white head. Aroma of diacetyl and light chocolate.. Dry mild chocolate flavor and a fairly dry finish. jcwattsrugger (12524) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - NOV 13, 2007
@ Brazen Head on cask-pours a tan head and dark brown/red color. Aroma is chocolate, dusty, dark fruit. Taste is chocolate, dusty, dark fruit, secondary flat/metallic (English?) hops. Interesting, like a dark mild. Mild carbonation. beastiefan2k (4082) - HdG (past: NYC, KS, Rain City), Maryland, USA - NOV 4, 2007
Brazen Head Cask Fest. Color is brown with translucent edges. Aroma is a smokey chocolate and sweet caramel. Taste is a bit empty with sweet malts but nothing off-putting. A light and quaffable beer with a very nice aroma. Would not hesitate to try on tap.JoeMcPhee (9550) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 3, 2007
Cask, half pint glass.
Cask at the Brazen Head. This beer actually worked very well in the cask. Deep hazy brown with a thin white head. Nice soft chocolate aroma with a touch of herbal/root beer spiciness. Spicy noble hops. Lovely soft earthy yeastiness. A hint of earthy chocolate and a nice minerally finish. Soft rich palate. Nice beer really.
