I enjoyed this beer at a great restaurant, so the delicious food only made this beer taste better. I loved it! JoeMcPhee (9426) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 3, 2007
Cask at the Brazen Head. This beer actually worked very well in the cask. Deep hazy brown with a thin white head. Nice soft chocolate aroma with a touch of herbal/root beer spiciness. Spicy noble hops. Lovely soft earthy yeastiness. A hint of earthy chocolate and a nice minerally finish. Soft rich palate. Nice beer really. Jow (3923) - New York, USA - NOV 5, 2010

Tap at Fette Sau. Mostly dark pour, nice lacing head. Light touch of milk chocolate in the aroma, kind of corny. Body is light, vegetal, a touch of chocolate, maybe. Creamy and easy drinking. tgncc (3132) - Bellmore, New York, USA - NOV 28, 2009
Nice aroma of chocolate, roasted coffee, cream. the flavor is strong chocolate, sweet, cream. The appearance is brown, ruby hue, tan head. The finish is a light resiny hop bittering. The mouthfeel is medium to thick, creamy, a pleasant surprise. Decent and enjoyable, better than expected.

Draft. Pours deep ruby brown with a thin head. Roasty malt aroma with bitter sweet chocolate. Roasty flavor with a light chocolate sweetness. Pretty good. beerbill (3618) - Laurel, New York, USA - MAY 1, 2010
Growler filled at Bellport Cold Beer & SOda and consumed the next day. Pours a clear deep brown with some reddish highlights and a thin off-white head that lasted through the first two sips and left a spotty film on the glass. Pleasant aroma of lightly roasted malt and mild chocolate. The flavor is similar with perhaps a bit more roast and the same mild chocolate. Fairly smooth finish. Very drinkable. Tap at the Lark. Pours a nice deep dark brown, woody almost a lighter coal black. Aroma is nutty, earthy toasty, light chocolate malts, slgiht grass, vegetable, and light roast with a slight lager yeast twang. Flavor is earthy, slight mineral, moderate chocolate malt, slight coffee bean hint, ash, crackery nutty malts, some burnt toast, yeasty. Finish is fairly dry- just a little bit mixed up and not quite refined enough, malt seemed a tad bit sharp on the edges for a lager. Ok. beastiefan2k (3981) - HdG (past: NYC, KS, Rain City), Maryland, USA - NOV 4, 2007
Brazen Head Cask Fest. Color is brown with translucent edges. Aroma is a smokey chocolate and sweet caramel. Taste is a bit empty with sweet malts but nothing off-putting. A light and quaffable beer with a very nice aroma. Would not hesitate to try on tap.j12601 (11706) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - DEC 31, 2008
Cask, half pint glass.
Mini growler at Half-Time. Pours a clear ruby brown color with a medium sized tan head. Sweet malt and chocolate are prominent with a bit of yeast behind. Mouthfeel is medium with a good amount of sweetness and a little chocolate flavor coming through. Finish is also gentle and sweet.
