Can @ Albion. Pours clear dark brown with reddish tint against the light, small foamy beige head, sweet chocolate-espresso aroma, high carbonation, slightly tangy mildly bitter mocha taste with espresso flavor, thin body, long bitter finish. Not bad but feels a bit watery. sinfull (1847) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - DEC 28, 2017

I enjoyed this beer at a great restaurant, so the delicious food only made this beer taste better. I loved it! BrewBoxer (2667) - New York, New York, USA - JAN 12, 2011

Tap at the Lark. Pours a nice deep dark brown, woody almost a lighter coal black. Aroma is nutty, earthy toasty, light chocolate malts, slgiht grass, vegetable, and light roast with a slight lager yeast twang. Flavor is earthy, slight mineral, moderate chocolate malt, slight coffee bean hint, ash, crackery nutty malts, some burnt toast, yeasty. Finish is fairly dry- just a little bit mixed up and not quite refined enough, malt seemed a tad bit sharp on the edges for a lager. Ok.

Growler filled at Bellport Cold Beer & SOda and consumed the next day. Pours a clear deep brown with some reddish highlights and a thin off-white head that lasted through the first two sips and left a spotty film on the glass. Pleasant aroma of lightly roasted malt and mild chocolate. The flavor is similar with perhaps a bit more roast and the same mild chocolate. Fairly smooth finish. Very drinkable. zdk (1917) - New York, New York, USA - JAN 22, 2010
Dark brown pour w/ red highlights. Arouma of chocolate, coffee and nuts. Smokey roasted malts, biscuity grain notes backed by some bitter. Smooth but a little thin. Not bad but nothing special. Maverick34 (3393) - New York, USA - JAN 18, 2010
