Poured from a can. Really hazy due to hops settling. Herbal hop notes. It's a fine double IPA. Don't get the 10 percent alcohol however. jcr (2719) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - NOV 20, 2015
Can. Cloudy, light amber body. Frothy, off-white head, rapidly diminishing. Aroma of leafy hops, citrus, caramel grapefruit, mango. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. Alcoholic finish, lingering bitterness. Taste of tropical fruit, raw hops and peppery alcohol. jgb9348 (6394) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - SEP 17, 2015
Rich copper coloured body wiht a thin, single centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of very rich and dank hops with a pungent alcohol and sugar smell and seemingly a lot of malt, as well. Full-bodied; Rich malty flavour with some rye and specialty grains in there for sure, possibly oatmeal. Aftertaste shows a good deep hoppiness and a lot of sugars, but the alcohol is almost overwhelming and the flavour finishes with a touch of metal as well. Overall, a pungent and very strong Imperial IPA in a can, which is a good amount to like, but this doesn’t deliver compared to others in the style. That said, if you are looking for a ’different’ beer from New York in a can that’s higher in alcohol - this one could be worth trying. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from New Beer Distributors in New York, New York on 08-November-2014 for US$3,25 sampled at home in Washington on 16-September-2015. Sampled from a 12 oz can this beer poured a cloudy amber-brown color with a large creamy-soapy orange-tan head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was strong floral, fruity and tropical fruits, a bit tart yet sweet and malty with a touch of honey. The flavor was sweet and malty with toasted sour caramel, pine, tropical fruit and fruity hops. Long finish that turns a touch harsh. Full body.

Hazy Golden pour, tiny White head.
Floral Nose, aggressive hoppy taste, with an abrupt bitter finish.
Heavy body, soft carbonation. Maverick34 (3299) - New York, USA - JUL 2, 2015
Orangey red brown pour from can. Tons of malts as advertised and some citrus and resin. e303 (287) - - JUN 23, 2015
I love the nose on this. Tons of sweetness and freshly peeled orange rind. The taste falls flat for me though as its heavy sweet up front with a super long bitter finish. The combo is off imo and almost crosses into American barleywine territory. Well made but not my thing.

Can. A hazy, dark golden beer with a small, dense, off-white head. Some lacings. The aroma is rather boozy, with piney, resiny hops and grapefruit. Maltyness in the back. It’s full-bodied yet feeling thin, with a pleasant carbonation level. Pine cones, resins, some pale malts and booze in the flavor, a good bitterness too, lasting for a good while. Too heavy on the booze this one, but there’s some good aromas and flavors anyway. 150606 Meilby (11525) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUN 6, 2015
