Can. A clear, dark amber to brown body forms under a small, dense, off-white head. The aroma is lightly wort-like, with toffee, nuts, some dark chocolate and a faint touch of coffee grit. It’s roasted and full-bodied, semi-dry and with a pleasant carbonation level. Toffee, nuts, some chocolate and coffee too, lasting for a good while..A bit boring this one I think, but it drinks easily and is flawless. 150606

Sample at Fette Sau. Clear pale brown color with a thin beige head that recedes quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, nuts and hops. Light-bodied with flavors of toasted malt, nuts and mild earthy hops. The finish is sweet with a short malty aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Dark reddish amber colour with small creamy off-white head. Mild malty aroma with sugary sweetness, brown sugar and nuts. Toffee and sugary sweetness, sweet maltiness and mild nuttiness in flavour. Too sweet for me.

Pours clear amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel and grass. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long malty, caramel and grassy finish: Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Nose is sweetish caramel, metallic lager, sweetish but thin, lots of caramel, cheap chocolate,… Taste is sweetish, sugary, metallic lager, cheap chocolate,… Bit thin & metallic. Decent, nothing outstanding but good for what it is.

Tap at HDG. Pale brown beer, thin white head. Aroma is very malty. Soft earthy malts and a bit of spicy/woody hops over the top. Flavour is also fairly hoppy with spicy hops, toasty malts and a soft earthy finish. More ale-like than any other lager I’ve had, but it certainly hits the spot.
