Bottle from Asda. Pours amber with beige head. Aroma malt-heavy with some spiciness. Fruity aftertaste, plummy. Sweet and interesting for its style.

Bottle shared with sarah picked up at ASDA. Golden orange coloured pour with a lasting fine white froth. Aroma is fairly clean grains, mineral, dry grains, light jammy fruits. Flavour is composed of light dry grains, mineral, chalky, cardboard, dried apple. Dry grains. Palate is light , high prickly carbonation.

March 2015 500ml dark bottle, filtered, from Asda. 4%. Magik Best Bitter. Standard light amber/orange appearance. Low condition. Fairly standard session bitter. Pale malt with a touch of crystal to add flavour and interest. Powdery bittering hops lingering in the finish, gradually becoming more defined and fresh tasting (oddly). It’s a decent enough session bitter. OK. [3.0]
Nov 2015 500ml dark bottle, unfiltered, from Cask and Cork, Southampton. Pleasant roasty notes in a sweet, and fairly well balanced best bitter. Slight stale note to the hops - odd, considering this appears to be an unfiltered bottle (though not a lot of sediment in the bottle). Pleasant enough, but doesn’t quite rock my world. [3.0]

Keighley Beer Festival, 2014. Copper coloured with a thin head. It’s more hops than malts with a subtle fruitiness throughout.

3.9
MissPxx (991) - Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 6, 2014
Mildly fruity aroma. Dark honey appearance. Very subtle but creamy head. Quite clear but with a subtle haziness. Hoppy and fruity. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
