wood,nuts, coffee in the aroma
flavor is complex, bitter woody, sweet coconut, faint coffee. deyholla (11914) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 26, 2010
Bottle thanks to womencantsail! Pours black, opaque brown around the edges, with a gray brown head that dissipates quickly. Aroma has main notes of roasted malts and espresso with underlying coconut and macadamia. Flavor begins with coffee but coconut builds towards the finish with just a hint of macadamia. hopscotch (11177) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - OCT 19, 2009
Bottle… Pours tar black with a small, fizzy, beige head. The aroma provides big-time deeply roasted coffee and toasted coconut. Medium to full-bodied with a buttery mouthfeel and dancing carbonation. The flavor is remarkably balanced. Burnt and acrid, but not bitter – dark coffee and a touch of coconut. Also, moderate acidity. Semi-sweet, acrid, espresso finish. Kudos to giarcsr for shipping this bottle my way! daknole (11050) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - OCT 26, 2009

Chinchill 12 oz bottle to Iowa City rewfest Teku, courtesy of brosail. Thanks! Pours a dark brown appearance with a brown head. Fairly smoky, coconut, dark cocoa powder, a bit roasty, a bit hot aroma. Carbonation is a bit low. Roasty, a bit burnt malty, lightly nutty, vanilla, chocolate, anise flavor with some roast and light smoke on the finish. Faint metallic note. Glad to finally have tried this one. Thanks sailor! alexsdad06 (10596) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - MAR 27, 2010
12 oz. bottle. Pours dark brown with a medium sized frothy tan head. This has a wonderful coffee aroma but that is pretty much it. The flavor, again, has a prominent (and very nice) roasted coffee component. There are mild hints of cherry and other dark fruits. I am searching for the other components, coconut and macadamia nuts, with little success. Medium bodied with an oily feel. I do like this, but had hoped for more of the other flavors to come through a bit more.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with honey highlights and a dense brown head. Rich aromas of fresh darkly roasted espresso beans, milk chocolate, and roasted nuts. Flavours of intense fresh ground coffee, char, chocolate, roasted nuts, molasses, and earthy wood. There is a vague vegetal character that comes into the finish, presumably from the coffee. Finish is nice and bitter. Exceptional! KimJohansen (10510) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - APR 1, 2010
Dark brown with a medium beige head. Aroma had plenty of espresso, hard roasted malt and coconuts. Flavour had plenty of coconut, hard roasted malt, espresso and hints of hops. Finished dry. marcus (10493) - Sacramento, California, USA - OCT 18, 2009
Bottle from bhensonb. This opaque brown beer poured with a rich tan head and a fragrant coffee aroma. There is a complex flavor comprised of chocolate, coffee coconut and roasted malt. All the tastes blend very nicely to create a dessert-like drink that is an absolute pleasure to imbibe. Thanks Bill.
