courtesy of jdubfl pours brown, light beige head. aroma of coffee, roasted malts, hints of caramel, hops, did not pick up too much coconut. flavor, intense coffee flavor, chocolate malts, med-high carbonation. Drinks easy, with coffee written all over it. As with the aroma, the coconut was hard to pick up.

355 mL. Pours pitch black with a fizzy, temporary, dark brown head. No lacing. Not much retention. Aroma is rich with coconut milk, roasted coffee, roasted malt, dark chocolate, vanilla, spiced rum. Taste is creamy milk chocolate, semisweet chocolate, chocolate-covered macadamia nut. Not much coconut in the flavor compared to Maui CoCoNut. Palate is perfection: huge silky chocolate, velvety, oily- leaves a numbing sensation on the lips. Really beautiful but not the imperial version of Maui CoCoNut that I was expecting.

Bottle. Ruby-mahogony beer with a tan head. Big coffee aroma with light sweetness. Coffee and sweet malt flavor with some nuttiness. Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. Sweet malt and light coffee lingers.

Bottle. Deep brown with a beige head. Roasted malt aroma with loads of coffee and a solid nutty sweetness. The flavor has coffee up front, and a lighter nutty sweetness. Lightly bitter roasted finish. Very good.

12oz bottle, $7 from Dutch’s bottle shop. Very dark brown color, a minimal brown head. Light, smooth carbonation, nice roasty aftertaste. Really interesting, complex, and deep aroma. Some clarity. Great aroma... Awesome but not overpowering coffee, some sweet roastiness, and some other stuff in there... Very tasty and drinkable brew. I wish I had much more of this ( I’m envious of the collaborators [as I picture them] drinking this stuff by the case, as they enjoy the beautiful Maui weather ). Roasty sweet taste, with some good coffee bitterness. Another fantastic Stone collaboration. A six-pack of this stuff would be what dreams are made of.

12 ounce bottle shared by footbalm, thanks man! Pours a pure black color with a small beige head. The aroma is awesome; sweet milky chocolates, and loads of coffee, light tropical notes. The flavor is great; rich milky coffee, loads of sweetness, light nutty and tropical coconut flavors. Super smooth and tasty. Enjoyable.

Deep black pour with a thick tan head. The nose is a bit odd – sort of a bit of tartness on the nose as well as a light coconut character. Softly roasty flavour with a pronounced coffee character. Light sweet cocoa over a toasted malt sweetness. A bit of earthiness – can’t say I’m a huge fan.

Bottle to snifter (shared by dudeabide). Looks good; a murky dark cola with thin beige lacing. Smells and tastes solid; Dark malt, coffee, roast, and light coconut and chocolate. Nice on the palate. Good beer.

12oz bottle courtesy of LtDan poured into a snifter. The pour is dark brown/black with no light on the sides and no way to see through it. The aroma on this is immediately big Kona coffee, which if followed by sweet malts, creamy chocolate, a dash of nuttiness, and subtle coconut. Despite the ingredients, the flavor at the start is characteristically big porter - sweet malts, a subtle sourness, various chocolates, and coffee. It just so happens, however, that the coffee is more pronounced and there is a distinct but subtle coconut flavor that fades in the mouth to nuttiness. The neatest part about it is the smooth, creamy, almost silky/oily mouthfeel. I really enjoyed that aspect of the brew. Overall, this is good stuff, but I was really hoping for more pronounced coconut, as I love coconut, especially in beer!

Courtesy of jdubFL. Pours deep mahogany with thin off white head. The aroma has dusty dark coffee, burnt malts, some black strap molasses and coconut. The taste has up front coconut moving into coffee, chocolate and black strap molasses. Pretty nice porter.
