Not exactly my go-to IPA but it holds it own and it is just a fine tasting beer regardless of style. Curious be the smell, leather basement and pine. Not at all your typical IPA but seeing as I have had more of that style than any other it is refreshing to challenge the norm. Tastes of honey, pine, some alcohol and caramelised grapefruit. A nice medium body and mid-soft carbonation with a slightly slick feel help this enjoyable IPA down.
Caramel coloured body with a three centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, earth, alcohol and some english hops. Medium-bodied; Strong rich malt flavours dominate the taste with some hops, caramel and bitterness all noticeable as well. Aftertaste shows perhaps more of the hops, but fairly miniscule in comparison to the alcohol, bitterness and caramel malt that is around. Overall, a decent beer, but not a great IPA of course, more of an English Pale Ale styled beer and although it wasnít so great, I carried this sucker around from Toronto to Chicago to San Francisco to Kona to Honolulu and finally to Papeete, Tahiti, where it was eventually drunk, so compared to the beers here and the journey it went on, it was good. I sampled this 50 cL can purchased from the LCBO on Spadina at King Street in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada last week on 08-August-2016 for CA$2,75 sampled halfway around the world in Tahiti, French Polynesia at my hotel on 14-August-2016. A tan/golden body with a thin white head. Nose is a pleasant blend of light caramel and mixed fruit. Caramel malt steps forward as the lead taste element. Apricots, a hint of orange, and tropical fruit blend in nicely. The medium effervescence and body are appropriate to the style. An appealing, smooth, sweet IPA. ljthiessen (1326) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - OCT 5, 2015
Can. Very cloudy orange pour with a thick off-white head. Aroma is citrus and tropical fruit. Taste is quite bitter, citrus zest and metallic notes with some dank hop flavours. Rich, hoppy and full-bodied, but also a somewhat harsh and unbalanced. Not great. Tranquillity (2253) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 3, 2015
Draft. Slightly hazy, dark red-brown body. The aroma is citrus, almost like oranges! Very fresh taste, with a wonderful flower finish. Finally a great IPA from Ontario! piscator34 (2515) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - SEP 27, 2015
Can. Pale Amber in colour with a bit of haze and medium carbonatin. Aromas are of sweet pale malt, caramel, and burnt orange peel. Malt heavy in the mouth, with notes of whole wheat bread, more caramel, pine resin, and a bit of white grapefruit pith. Heavy bodied with a moderate level of carbonation. Total throwback IPA.

Can from LCBO. IBU 65 as opposed to the 70 as noted above. Dark amber with an off-white head, little lace. The aroma is malty, toffeeish and jammy, slightly caramelly. Very mild citric and pungent notes. Tastes caramelly sweet with a worrying earthy (and piney-resiny-grapefruity) bitter note. Overall itís a pretty easy-drinking juicy brew, although Iím not a fan of its hop profile. CacheManyHose (713) - HONG KONG - DEC 29, 2014
UPDATED: DEC 30, 2014 Cloudy honey amber with sudsy white head and huge sticky frothy legs. Smells of crisp dry hop, honey malt. Tastes of fizzy dry hop, body slightly foamy. Listigovers (1162) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 17, 2014
Pours brown with a large head which quickly drops to a thin lacing. Smells slightly citrusy. Medium bodied, palate which develops in your mouth, bready malts, not very bitter, some bitterness in the aftertaste. Not bad but could use a bit more punch in the IBU department. Unfiltered burnt orange body capped by a foamy, slightly off-white head.
On the nose it is a slightly sweet pineapple-forward citrus, some pine shining through for sure, with hints of toffee underlying it all.
Light creaminess on the palate, but still fairly crisp. The tastes have a light sweetness to the citrus fruit blend, but my wife gets a lot of tongue-numbing hop bitterness. There is not a great deal of malt presence, so sticklers for balance might be left slightly wanting, but there is some sweet caramel malt in there for sure so itís not completely lop-sided. I was in the mood for a beer leaning toward the hop side of the fence and so found this to be an enjoyable thirst quenching experience.

Reminds me of an average Oregon IPA, Classic caramel malt and citrus hop combo, sweet finish. OK but uninspiring.
