Draft - Light wheat and orange notes. Cloudy orange with a thin white head. Lots of watermelon and not too sweet, light wheat notes. Surprisingly OK. Lubiere (13915) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 25, 2012
A hazed amber ale with a thin white head. In aroma, a sweet caramel malt with light melon notes and light vanilla. In mouth, a sweet biscuit malt with hops and fruit skin harshness, cloying watermelon juice, OK. On tap at Session 99, June 23 2012. Sammy (12210) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 2, 2012
On tap at the Brewer’s Backyard event. Nothing in the smell, but a syrupy infused sweet flavouring joined in the wheat. Not too drinkable. jercraigs (10374) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 4, 2013
2013-05-25. Crisp golden body small white head and lace. 3+ Aroma is modest, fruity, notes of watermelon with cidery undertones. Flavour is moderately fruity, nice watermelon notes, modest pale malt base has a light graininess to it that I am not partial to. Comes together a bit strangely though, and the watermelon character is about half as strong as I’d like. I think the malt has actually taken over a bit too much relative to the initial test batches. Average plus bodied palate, modest carbonation. Just okay. 6/3/6+/3/13 On tap at Caplansky’s, TorontoJoeMcPhee (9427) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 24, 2013
2012-07-02. Lightly hazy dark yellow, small white head. 3+ First sip has a lot of sweet fruity watermelon character, light pale malt/wheat behind that, light bitterness in the finish, alternating with watermelon in the aftertaste. Light alcohol feels a little more warming than I expected, but I don’t know the abv, and its not obtrusive. Mild aroma, mild fruity watermelon, mild pale malt with a lightly grainy wheat like character to it. 6+ Average bodied palate suits it. A pretty decent effort at what they are trying to do with it. Enjoyable. 7/3/7/3/14 At Brewer’s Backyard event, Brick Works, Toronto
Pale golden pour with a thin white head. The aroma is a bit malty with some light sweetness and a bit of odd esters in the aroma. The watermelon is quite expressive and a little bit fruity. As it warms the yeast derived fusels come out more and distract from the watermelon fruit. This really intensifies as does a sort of dull sweetness. A good idea as a summer quaffer but could have the fermentation cleaned up.

This isn’t bad overall. Pours golden clear with no head or lacing. Watermelon actually works pretty well with wheat, but watermelon being watermelon, its a little watery. Watermelon is there in any case, and it finishes sweet and sour. Pretty fizzy carbonation. Tap at Bar Hop. Radek Kliber (7363) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - MAY 7, 2013

Aroma tad musky, soft malt with gentle wheat backing.
Appearance clear golden in look. Lighter minimalistic cap.2+
Flavor and Palate : Strong watermelon fruity notes. Easy going summer like feel. Soft bubble gum hints. Grainy, zesty finish.

June 23, 2012 - draught at "Session 99" - session #2. Pale and hazy gold-yellow with thick plug of tightly foamy white head (4-). Aroma is simple - a little "uric" - lightly acidic, it has light melon character and some suggestion of funk - at least it’s not sweet (7-). Up-front you are hit with terrific fresh watermelon, only a hint of lemon, perhaps a tiny bit sweeter than the aroma and just a whisper of floral bitterness - but the problem is all that fades extremely fast and you are left with ... not much. Light bodied, frothily carbonated, quick-finishing, leaves a little bit of a dry bile-sourness .... needs more malt oomph and I could wish for more sourness, too.
