Crisp wheat ale with a light watermelon aftertaste. Little head, light carbonation.

Sample at brewers backyard. Hazy straw pour. Sweet aroma of melon, vanilla, slight yeast and green apple. Light and refreshing. Clean finish. On a hot day, this stuff was the bomb. Nice unique offering.

June 23, 2012 - draught at "Session 99" - session #2. Pale and hazy gold-yellow with thick plug of tightly foamy white head (4-). Aroma is simple - a little "uric" - lightly acidic, it has light melon character and some suggestion of funk - at least it’s not sweet (7-). Up-front you are hit with terrific fresh watermelon, only a hint of lemon, perhaps a tiny bit sweeter than the aroma and just a whisper of floral bitterness - but the problem is all that fades extremely fast and you are left with ... not much. Light bodied, frothily carbonated, quick-finishing, leaves a little bit of a dry bile-sourness .... needs more malt oomph and I could wish for more sourness, too.

On tap @ bent elbow - a hazed straw-gold color in the glass, 2 finger frothy white cap...modest retention, medium carbonation. Sandy mouth feel, light refreshing character. Aroma is fruity, hoppy and has the signature dusty wheat maltiness. Flavour has melon, tart bright fruit and sturdy hopping riding just above the biscuit malt....clean crisp hoppy finish. Fruity refreshing.

On tap. Pours a hazy orange gold with a white head. Aroma has a light veg edge alongside wheat and white bread. Light body, medium carbonation. Watermelon comes through subtly, wheat, lemon too... Decent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the Brewers Backyard. Pours a hazy burnt golden colour with modest-sized white head. Aroma is watermelon, floral and honey. Flavour is likewise. Lightish, slightly watery body. Easy drinking and refreshing.

I liked this one but probably wouldn’t have it all the time. Aroma had the watermelon coming through strong. The taste was sweet and tangy like watermelon bubblegum.

Pours a cloudy golden-yellow colour with a creamy-froth white cap, good retention and some decent lacing. Mild watermelon juice aromas over the very light wheat. You get a little more of the wheat in the taste, with the watermelon that is never too strong and some decent hops in the finish, creating some light dryness. Lightly bodied and nice that the watermelon is not the one that is sweet and gross. Just adds some refreshing fruit to the light wheat which is probably good for summer.

Kensington Watermelon Wheat Yeah smells like beer and watermelon. Very different. Tastes like you would except. A slightly citrusy wheat with watermelon. I either really dig It or don’t like it at all and I can’t decide. It’s very different. Unlike say a pumpkin ale which when I tried one for the first time I fell in love, I do,my hate that love at first sip going on here. It’s growing on me though.
