Cask at the craft beer co Clerkenwell. A mostly clear dark orange amber coloured pour with a lasting loose beige head. Aroma is layered nutty / toasted malts, earthy twiggy notes with some brown sugars, and some woodland berries. Flavour is composed of semi sweet toasted nutty malts, bitter earthy dirty finish, bark and hints of earthy coffee. Palate is semi sweet, moderate cask condition. OK. kwik-lime (2001) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 16, 2016

Pleasant bready aroma. Nice rich orange, small loose head. Good bitterness, some wooly dryness. Very solid simple bitter - balance good, and dangerously sessionable.
Cask @ Euston Tap, London. Golden with a creamy head. Has a slightly stewed fruity aroma and taste. There’s hops involved too.

Cask at CBC Clerkenwell, London. It pours a clean amber color with a small tan head. Aroma is slightly sweet with notes of biscuit, toasted malts, pale bread, light citrus. Taste is medium sweet and lightly dry and bitter, with notes of dried leaves, biscuit, earth, citrus, dust. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Overall, decently tasty, not bad imdownthepub (15067) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 9, 2015
Cask conditioned at Fleetwood Beer Festival ’15. Amber with white head. A Brown Ale? Not as we know it Jim. This is a hoppy beer on a sweetish, toffee’d malt. The hops cut through, tropical fruits, bitter and dry later. Really enjoyed this one. Rune (13206) - Tromsø, NORWAY - OCT 6, 2014
Half, cask ale as Altered State American brown ale at Craft Beer Co, Islington. Disappearing beige head, fair lacing. Crystal clear dark brown coloured body with ruby highlights to it. Fruity caramel on the nose. Malt-fruity taste of nuts, chocolate and some dried fruits. Roasted bitter ending even with a backdrop of fruit. Soft carbonated. Good drinking (London 23.09.2014). minutemat (5817) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - SEP 23, 2014
Cask @ Jolly Butchers, Stoke Newington. Pours brown with nice off-white head. Taste is hoppier than I expected with a graininess to it’s caramel malt character. Tasty. HogTownHarry (7062) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - SEP 7, 2014
September 7, 2014 - on handpull at Craft Beer Co (Islington). Clear deep coppery amber, small frothy beige head. Light aroma of roast, some herbal bitterness, cereal grain. Taste follow - the bitterness initially takes a backseat to somewhat sweet fresh cereal malt, then it takes over - really seems more of a mild than a brown, but pleasant regardless of the style. Light body, not a lot of carbonation, starts a little sweet, finishes quickly and dry and the bitterness is more in the linger than the actual taste. A good one - no cola, sugar or syrup character here.
