On tap at Draught. Pours a hazed gold with a medium sized white head. Pear, a bit of sweetness, tangerines. Medium bodied, floral, almost a cucumber note. Slow earthy bitterness. bellco33 (851) - Willington, Connecticut, USA - MAR 31, 2017
On tap at Willibrew: Maybe they got a bad batch, but I didn’t like this. Pours cloudy golden with a thin white head. Aroma of cracker malt, armpits, onion, garlic, lemon, orange zest. Taste is way pungent onion and garlic with a little citrus. A little sweet, with some vegetative bitterness on the back end that is different from a typical hop bite. Not great. Draught at Row 34, 9/28/16.50belair (3718) - Florida, USA - SEP 12, 2016
Well-hazed, though not soupy, light-amber-tinted golden with a small, white head that shows moderate retention.
Citrusy notes share room with juicy nectarine, peach, guava and pineapple. There’s just a slight grapefruit-like edge to it, but as it warms, it lets go of any potential resin and more lemon, pineapple, key lime and tangerine burst forth backed by a moderate amount of honey-like maltiness. No alcohol or flaws and a bright, aromatic, juicy NE IPA through-and-through. It’s impressive they’ve used Simcoe and Centennial to almost a zero degree of resin....
In the mouth it’s soft and comforting on the palate, with honey-graham cracker-like malts for texture and a fairly tight carbonation that propels varied citrus, peach, pineapple and mango about the palate. Some slightly pointed notes of ruby red grapefruit and orange rind lie on the finish, but it adds only balance to the otherwise extremely soft-juiciness of the beer. Incredibly drinkable and another great one from these guys.
Cloudy light yellow pour with a white head. Mild citrus hop bouquet. Taste follows suit. Good body and mouthfeel. A solid IPA. ctipping (2299) - Florida, USA - SEP 12, 2016
500 mL bottle. Hazy dull orange. Medium white head. Smells of onion, some tropical fruits, and grapefruit. Tastes of strong onion and garlic hops. Cracker malt with a low sweetness. Pithy grapefruit bitterness in the finish. Light body. Very bitter. Good beer, but the simcoe profile is intense.
