On tap in Hudson, WI. Interesting to have something besides a stout barrel aged. I did it, although the bourbon aromas and taste is a bit too heavy for this one. Mittenator (1612) - Michigan, USA - FEB 10, 2013
Very light body for the strong bourbon aroma and flavor. I seem to like this one more than others. drdisque (840) - Illinois, USA - FEB 9, 2013
On tap at Frontier (Chicago). Pours clear caramel. Flavor is sweet and caramelly with a lot of bourbon barrel character - tastes more like barrel than any other beer I’ve had - and I’ve been to FOBAB! However, that’s not necessarily a great thing because there isn’t a whole hell of a lot here. Still, not bad and very palatable for a strong beer. trehalose111 (2) - Kentucky, USA - FEB 5, 2013 does not count
The best beer I have ever had. You can taste the flavor of the bourbon barrel. It is really good with steak, chicken and barbequed anything. The flavor is consistent and not overpowering. This is an excellent ale. VsXsV (4442) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - FEB 4, 2013
Bottle. Clear amber liquid with small to medium off-white head. Aroma of buttery bourbon, caramel, biscuit, wood, vanilla, bread and more butter. Very buttery. Taste is light sweet and light bitter with notes of light bourbon, caramel, toffee and butter. Light to medium bodied with low to medium carbonation. Bit watery. Bland and buttery. Meh.

I love the distinctive bourbon taste and smell of this ale. It is very good by itself. It is even better when mixed with Breckenridge Vanilla Porter- the combination is outstanding. 4beerguy (2) - Tennessee, USA - JAN 29, 2013 does not count
Ale aged in bourbon whiskey barrels presents a sweet start with a smooth mellow finish. The sultle blend of bourbon and malty ale flavors is complex yet complementary. jkry (1) - - JAN 25, 2013 does not count
Here’s the deal, I drank it from a growler because the growler dude was raving about it. Admittedly, I’m not a whiskey man. I am a beer man. This beer tasted like bourbon mixed with club soda. Tastes nothing like beer. Tastes like watered down bourbon. I drank the whole growler anyway tho and I’m drunk as a smug sloth so take it for what it’s worth. Draught at The Gingerman NYC sept 2012. Clear amber berr with a minimal white head. Hoppy and bourbon aroma. Bourbon flavour. Too much bourbon flavor, kills the beer.... Jrwhitney6 (496) - - JAN 22, 2013
Pours copper into a snifter glass. Nose of vanilla and bourbon. Taste of bourbon and vanilla - not sure how others didn't think this had a bourbon taste - I found it quite strong. Ok, but if I want bourbon, that is what I would order.
