Bottle. Pours an orange color with white head. Vanilla, bourbon, oak, chocolate aromas. Vanilla, bourbon, oak flavors. Very tasty beer. You don’t notice the 8% alcohol. Quasimodo (217) - chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 3, 2012
Medium bodied, light amber ale aged in bourbon barrels. A little buttery, but overall it’s pretty good. The 8% is smooth. The bourbon barrel isn’t overpowering. Notes of vanilla, caramel, bourbon and oak. Moderate sweetness. It drinks lighter than most bourbon beers. Rando7 (787) - Iowa, USA - OCT 2, 2012
Bottle pours clear orange brown with thin white head. Sweet aroma if malts, caramel and faint bourbon. Taste caramel malts and marshmallows with a nutty, almost "Bit-o-Honey" flavor. Palate thin, mild carbonation and a little slickness. Finish brief musty nuttiness. Alcohol not apparent. Odd beer. If you are desperate for a faint bourbon flavor here you go. tnkw01 (1854) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - SEP 30, 2012
Bottle. I can smell the oak and bourbon in this beer, with a whiff of alcohol. Has that light amber, brown color of bourbon. Not much head. Pretty strong stuff. Nice beer though. mrohia (283) - Ohio, USA - SEP 29, 2012
The Paddock, Lebanon, OH, draught. It tastes like bourbon! It smells like bourbon! It has no lacing like bourbon!

Brilliant golden color with ivory sheen. Whiskey vanilla, pale malt aromas. medium body. Bready pale malt, oak, whiskey vanilla flavors---lingering whiskey breath to finish--not bad AR (1002) - Georgia, USA - SEP 24, 2012
Aroma of oranges and hops. Pours with a frothy head. The taste is a sweet caramel and a hint of chocolate with pronounced alcohol. Full-bodied. monk191 (2022) - Portland, Oregon, USA - SEP 22, 2012
Interesting beer. Pours a very bourbon like orange color, with a white head. Smells sweet and roasted. Definitely has a whiskey taste, very sweet and malty, and alcoholic. Not bad, but won't have again.

Very unusual. Transparent penny copper with a thin white ring for a head. The bourbon and vanilla permeate the nose. Medium bodied, it has the mouthfeel of an amber ale, but shows the barrel character. A nice sipper, but a really clipped finish. FullObs (136) - Illinois, USA - SEP 19, 2012
12oz bottle pours a clear amber color. Sweet honey aroma. Tastes of vanilla & light honey but finishes very medicinal and watered down. Tastes like someone left a sip of cheap bourbon with a few cubes of well water. The next day you wake up and finish off the glass. Not good.
