Award-winning Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale® is a unique sipping beer with the distinctive nose of a well-crafted bourbon. Our Kentucky Ale® is aged for up to six weeks in freshly decanted bourbon barrels from some of Kentucky’s finest distilleries. Subtle yet familiar flavors of vanilla and oak are imparted to this special ale as it rests in the charred barrels. Pleasantly smooth and robust, Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale may also be served as an aperitif or after-dinner drink. Launched in 2006, it has grown to become the flagship beer of the premier name in barrel-aged beers: Alltech Lexington Brewing and Distilling Company.

UPDATED: JUN 28, 2015 At Fork on Lincoln. This was a mess. The flavors compete strangely and hit at all the wrong moments. Bourbon, then wood, then cream soda, then sweet. Serving: Tap

Not a huge fan of the flavor. Way too smoky and vanilla hits you in a weird way. I wouldn't ever ask for this beer again ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled 01/2017. I bought this in Feb or March of 2017 and drank 3 of the 4 within a month or two and didn't enjoy it too much (probably would have rated it 2/5 or so overall). I left the last one for about 6 months, mostly because I just didn't feel like drinking it, but just drank it this evening and it was amazing! Flavor was complex but not overpowering (before aging the alcohol taste and bourbon flavor was too much). Really smooth, both sweet and a bit savory, and just left an amazing aftertaste as well. Would highly recommend aging it a bit.

Pours orange, creamy. Nose is sweetish, some caramel, really Scottish ale thing. Taste is quite light, some sweetish booze, light body, feels maybe lighter than it should be but that makes it nicely drinkable. Pretty good.

UPDATED: AUG 14, 2017 Taste was very nice and smooth with a hint of bourbon. The color was a pleasant golden color...wish I had one now

Bottled. 15cl sample. The aroma has bourbon, caramel malt. Slightly hazy, copper coloured beer with a thin head. The taste is moderate sweet, has vanilla, caramel malt, biscuit, bit booze. Medium bodied beer. Lacks complexity.

UPDATED: SEP 11, 2017 Pours a brownish yellow. Cidery. Aroma is creamy buttery. Taste is more if the same. It's a little overly sweet but not too bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Biale slodkie winogrona przechodza w rodzynki, mieszaja sie z pumperniklem, fajnym karmelem, wspaniala, intensywna wanilia i delikatna nutka bourbonu, brzoskwini, oraz herbaty. Najwspanialsza jest wanilia, która laczy sie z delikatnymi herbatnikami! Goryczka bardzo niska, piwo slodkie, ale nie przeslodzone. Swietny stosunek cena/jakosc

Bottle from local supermarket. Really an ok beer, but not a well made bourbon barrel ale

colui72 (1071) - HONG KONG - JUN 29, 2017
Pours copper, fizzy, with a finger of cream head, with good sticky lacing. Aroma of caramel, butterscotch and Bourbon. Tastes is... good! So damn! tasty! butterscotch, caramel, molasses, bourbon, oak, ripe fruits. Some minimal tart notes, quite sweet with a very low bitterness. Smooth and creamy, fully bodied, softly carbonated, long finish. Loving this ale, delicious to me!
