COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kentucky IPA is a deliciously hoppy, golden-hued American India Pale Ale. It has bright citrus flavors and sweet floral aromas that come from liberal dry-hopping with American hops. The India Pale Ale style is the fastest growing craft beer style on the US market.

Kentucky IPA is the first canned beer produced by Alltech Lexington Brewing and Distilling Co. and is sold in 4-packs of 16-ounce cans. This format is ideal for sporting events, outdoor concerts, at the beach and other places where glass is not permitted. Kentucky IPA is also available in bottles and on draft.

12 oz bottle, thanks to Suttree. Amber pour with ample dense white head. Aroma of sulfur, pine, caramel and orange. Taste is moderately sweet, caramel and toast with moderate bitterness. Medium body, aggressive prickly carbonation. Overall: this is alright.

Oak and tea nose, moderate strength. Hazy orange, medium yellow head, decent lace. Oaky orange peel flavor. Light body, soft carbonation. Nicely balanced with good wood. Probably wont appeal to the hop heads, but for those who appreciate quality and nuance, this was good.

A clear golden brownish with a correct white head. Malty, caramel flavour in the begining with a litle woody at the end. The taste is dry. Its had a pretty bitter grainy flavor with bits of citrus and a very light sweet aspect. You can feel a little almond flavor. At the end the a solid bitter taste hit your mouth. The moderate alcohol (6.5% ABV) doesnt disturb the joyness of this spetial beer.

Pours a clear golden with white head. Grass, hay, some cereal malt on the nose; follows onto the palate. Drinks more like a pale ale than and IPA.

Poured from a tall can into a pint glass to drink. The beer had a semi clear amber-copper color with a modest, foamy white head that had fairly short retention, and light cling and lacing. Its aroma had citrus and grainy notes, with a floral component, along with some touches of yeast and barley. The taste had a pretty bitter grainy flavor with bits of citrus and a very light sweet aspect. It was a fairly thin beer in terms of mouthfeel, with average carbonation, and a dry body.

5/15/2014. 12 oz. bottle. Clear amber color with a white head. Caramel and light hoppy aromas with tropical fruit flavors and a hoppy finish. Not overly complex or interesting.

Bottle, 12oz. A clear, dark golden beer with a dense, off-white head. Theres quite a lot of malts and grass on the nose, with pine cones and some lemon peel in between. Its full bodied and quite sweetish on the palate, with a nice carbonation. Sort of sweet flavor, with a balancing bitterness. Hop pellets, pine cones and some resins too. A faint metallic touch chimes in towards the very end. Sure a drinkable one, but Im far from impressed. Lacking quite a lot on the hops. 140512
