500ml bottle into pint glass. Randomly bought for me by my wife, which is nice. Clear mahogany red beer with pitted solid white head, many tiny bubbles. Laces well. Nose is dark smoky caramel. Viscous and smooth. Finish is long, long, long. Treacle toffee and raisins initially then the dry woody alcohol notes appear. Finally you are left with a hoppy bitterness. Great contemplative beer. Copper color with light head.
Aroma is rum and raisin, slight oak and malt.
Mild bitterness with a sweet finish.

Fruity malt aroma in a copper brown pour. Deliciously different from the usual IPA with a complex mix of hops malt and wood working subtly together and making an excellent ale. Probably better than my initial rating - will definitely be trying again and will update as required. mkel07 (5978) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - APR 1, 2016
Bottle from Beer Cartel 010416. Strong flavours lead into a full mouthfeel and lingering aftertaste. This is a welled brewed red ale and ticks all of the boxes for me with vanilla and toffee in the aroma and a big malty flavour. Looks a bit murky in the glass and has an even layer of beige foam. I’ll be on the lookout for more beers from Kereru Brewing. hawthorne00 (3949) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JAN 24, 2016
Bottle. Deep garnet with a beige head. Aroma of dried and stewed fruit, light roast, singed toffee. Very soft texture, creamy. Sweet and fruity (dried banana, prunes, wild figs) with firm roasted flavours and a drying touch of oak at the end. Lowish bitterness. A bit Old Peculier, a bit Old Engine Oil, slightly firmer roasted notes. Right up my street.
