Bottle in Punakaiki Beach Hostel. Pours a clearish light amber with a tiny white head. Rather sweet with a light dryness and floral hops aromas with sprucey notes towards the end. Malty backbone. Medium bodied. Medium carbonation. Dry, fruity and hoppy finish. Skarecrow (693) - North Shore, Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - NOV 30, 2016

500 ml bottle. Clear amber body topped by a fluffy white head that sticks around. Lively carbonation. Aromas of pineapple, plum, lime, bread and pepper. Taste starts off slightly sweet before a distinct grapefruit and pine bitterness kicks in. Drops off a bit at the end leading into a spicy aftertaste. UPDATED: MAR 4, 2017 Restrained tropical fruit aroma in a golden amber pour. Hop forward balance with light body and sustained bitter finish. A nice brew - albeit one that doesn’t stand out from the crowd. User369532 (907) - - JAN 9, 2016

Pours a lovely amber with a fine, off white head. Nose is passionfruit, a little caramel. Pretty delicate nose. Flavor is more assertive. Lots of passionfruit and orange on the mid palate, caramel sweetness, slightly nutty, piney towards the end with a bitter grapefruit and pine resin finish, turning more piney as the finish lingers. Medium body. Pretty good, though the nose lacks complexity. It’s also just a hair too sweet for my taste. I like my west coast IPAs absolutely bone dry with very little sweet malt character. This only has a little, but even that is too much for me. Still a tasty beer though.
