UPDATED: AUG 22, 2017 On tap at Pumphouse, Darling Harbour. Pours a coca cola black with an amber tinge and a lingering tan head. Aroma: Roasted malt, toffee, molasses, coconut. Funky notes, almost like rotting vegetables. Taste: Dates, toffee, brown sugar, spiced rum or brandy, fruit cake. Back end of the beer has a strong molasses/fermented fruits flavour. Very complex flavour balance. Might be overpowering to some people’s palate, but definitely an intriguing beer. Like drinking liquid fruit cake soaked in rum. explosivedog (1296) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - JUN 17, 2017

Bottle Pour. Pours a deep gold with small amounts of almost brown head. Rich sugar nose with a lot of sweetness. Medium body with a light alcohol kick and more sweet notes at the end. ComradeK (1238) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - MAY 27, 2017
Taster at GABS 2017. Pours a deep ruby, with a large light beige head, which lasts very well and leaves good lacing. Allspice, Pedro Ximenez sherry, dark berry, plum and toffee in the aroma. Light sweet citrus hops up front, leading into spice, sweet sherry, fruitcake and hints of caraway-seeded rye bread. Complex and delicious.
