Bouteille 33cl, BB 05/2017.

Drank 27-4-17 with Patrick and Lennart in Cafe Moenen. Not a very good IPA. Quite watery.

Fruity white head stayed well on a still, honey coloured body - Looks great! Slightly hoppy on the nose but no Belgian Yeast aromas. Smooth & quite creamy. Soft on the palate. Tingles on the back. Dry. Bitter/Sweet on the palate with pith, grapefruit & lemon, with a long bitter aft.

Hazy ochre orange liquid, small head. Heavy aroma of hops, little bit yeast. Medium body, little bit of carbonation. Taste of iron, bitter, and a bit sweet.

Bottle 33cl. poured into a lager glass. Slightly hazy deep golden, average frothy off-white head, mostly diminishing, good lacing; aroma pale malts, grainy, caramel, light orange, hay; taste medium sweet and bitter, roasted malts, burnt caramel; malty bittersweet aftertaste, burnt caramel, spicy notes, dry and astringent hopbitter finish; medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation; decent.

Didn’t expect this... I mean with an ipa name and hoppy label you can expect some hops right? But all I got was alcohol, strong golden malts and a slight aromatic Noble hop perhaps in the back. I wouldn’t call this English IPA either, as it’s way too strong. So out of style, do I like it? The aroma not so much, it’s okay, bit the taste is decent with an alcohol warmth and big bubbly, bit fresh style, but working well. I dint mind this beer, but the aroma leaves you confused. (33cl bottle from Belgian Beer Shop Leuven)

Copper colour, slightly opaque, weak head. Smell is caramel with resin and toffee. Light sourness and rotten fruit. Some yoghurt. Taste starts watery before being overwhelmed by bitterness and astringency. Surprisingly pungent! Pine and resin in there, sticky finish, wow, now I understand why Belgians dont make ipas!

Pours a hazy golden brown from the bottle with bubbly off-white head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma and taste of earthy citrus hops, Belgian yeast esters, and oxidized caramel malt. Meh.

Bottle at home. Aroma is light malt, spicy Belgian yeast, fruity and floral notes, orange, some hops. Flavour is mildly sweet with a potent bitter finish. Body is medium. A highly Belgian IPA, yeasty and a bit spicy, mildly hopped, not great but enjoyable,
