“The Name Says it All” Just Outstanding has an orange amber body that combines a zesty and bitter characteristic, a generous malty taste and an exquisite floral aroma – Oh yeah, this beer is really hoppy too! This sturdy ale has 7.5% alcohol and twice the malt and hops of a Pale Ale. If you like a strong IPA, you’ll find this beer

Aroma is dominated by hops - mostly citrus and pine resin but there is a light peach note. The citrus is mostly a grapefruit and line character. Some faint cracker malt notes in the background and hints of light caramel. Pours a fairly clear orange copper with a slightly off-white head that slowly recedes to the edges. Decent lacing with small legs. Flavor stars with some sweet malt character - cracker and light caramel. After the initial malt note you get a lot of hop flavor. Here the Amarillo really shows with some nice stone fruit notes. There is of course quite a bit of grapefruit and resin as well but the flavor has a lot more Amarillo character than the aroma. A bit of alcohol spice in the finish. Moderate bitterness lingers with the resin note. Finish is slightly sweet. Medium to medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Very low hop astringency and medium low hop bitterness. Overall this is a pretty nice IPA. I prefer a bit less malt character and a drier beer but the hop character is pretty nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma is classical piney, American fat malty and grapefruit. Taste is fruity yet deep sweet peachy with a bite to it. Well, the name can be the truth depending on your mood. Just now, this was great!

Hazy glowing orange body of color with a large creamy whipped head of white foam. Soft on the aroma side with moderate caramel, smooth citrus, and spring florals. On the taste there is more vibrance in the citrus with biting pine. Well balanced IPA.

Pour is a hazy copper with a small white head. Aroma is a fresh berry and caramel malt. Flavor is a decent bitter hop bite but there is a large malt to this beer. One of those beers that in the infancy of craft beer would have been groundbreaking but now it’s just o.k. This has a decent hop but also way to much heavy malt.

Barreras (1689) - Diamond Bar, California, USA - MAR 5, 2017
Pours a light amber color with no distinguishable aroma. Taste is fruity, piney, and a little floral. Slight bitterness in the aftertaste with little to no complexity. A nice light IPA that quenched my thirst but lacked complexity.
