From a 22 oz bottle shared with friends. Pours a hazy orange copper with a quickly receding thick white head. Aroma of pine and citrus. Lovely flavors of orange zest, biscuit, pine and grapefruit. Bitter finish but not intense. Very nice DIPA.

650 ml bottle from Bev4less. pours a translucent copper color with a small white head that soon recedes to a splotchy film. The aroma is features resins, soap, barley and some mild citrus. The taste is similar to the nose, complex malts that are bready dominate and are backed up nicely by the mildly bitter citrus hops. The palate is full and smooth with lively carbonation. Finishes long and dry with lingering bitter grapefruit. Overall: meh

Great beer, wasn’t sure when I saw it at my local shop but bought the last 6 anyways. This beer tastes like lagunitas sucks with some alpine nelson rye character, very nice hoppy profile with tropical, earthy hops and spicy, earthy, dry rye finish. A great beer to take a chance on buying 6 bottles for $40 but believe me it is a better beer than most other ipas out there.

dukeredhair (243) - California, USA - DEC 8, 2012
Appearance is straw gold with almost no head on pour at brewery. Aroma is HUGE hops, citrus, grapefruits, grass, bit of weed. Taste is sweet hops with a nice smooth bitterness and a nice malty sweet backbone. Palate is thin and dry making this really refreshing. Overall another great DIPA from Kern River.

3.3
Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 25, 2012
Bottle at Papsø’s - Thanks. Clear golden/amber - white head. Sweetness, fruity, knækbrød, toasted, ok bitterness, amber malts, herbal notes, cheese, peppery, not that fresh, a bit too sweet.
