Appearance is very dark brown, pretty much no head. Aroma- treacle, dark malts, toffee, dark fruit. Taste- sticky treacly dark malt, hint of chocolate, toffee, Christmas cake.

Thin beige head soon left a cover on a very dark brown still body.
Minimal aroma of malt & spiced orange.
Medium to full bodied. Thick & chewy on the palate. Very little carbonation & sticky & cloying on the back.

UPDATED: DEC 13, 2017 Dark ruby. Aroma has yeastiness and cherries. Taste adds figs, dates and spices. Medium sweet for a Christmas type strong ale. Not much bitterness.
