Pours a clear golden body with a medium white head. Aroma of grain, grass. Flavor of grain, grass, and earthiness with a crisp clean finish. 3fourths (9347) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - SEP 23, 2014
Bottle from the brewery. Clear gold with a foamy white head. Airy, dusty and starchy aroma, the gravel / concrete note is present in this one as well. Malt character is unpleasant dried saltine crackers and stale white bread. Hops are lightly floral and lemon-y but sit quiet. Medium-light body, semi-sweet, starchy, a little juicy, somewhat husky, and finally, mineral-heavy in an unpleasant way. BlackHaddock (7346) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 24, 2012
Feb 2010: Brown 500ml bottle (BBD 6th Jun 2010), obtained from ’Beers of Europe’ in the UK. The beer was poured into one of my Veltins stemmed tulips three times (the glass is a 0.2 litre one).
The beer looked good, a clean, clear pale golden yellow colour with carbonisation rising through the body towards the pure white head on top. Each pour reproduced this picture.
Like most beers of this style (plus lagers/pilsners etc) I struggle to find any aromas worthy of comment, this is no different. Some hay/straw smells maybe, but not a lot of anything really.
Luckily the flavours come to rescue the situation, this beer has some taste. A pleasant mix of malts and hops blended together with some fine yeast has given this a true Dort/Export umph. You can feel the alcohol content, but it joins in nicely with the ingrediants so it feels right.
I found this beer very drinkable and enjoyed it greatly. First beer I’ve had from this brewer, hope it isn’t the last.

500 ml bottle from Idar-Oberstein, Germany. Pours a clear gold color with a small fast to go white head. Aroma is the normal Helles with sweet malty hay. Taste and palate are the same normal Helles type, a sweet syrup malty flavor. A nice well made Helles. mcdav2154 (449) - GERMANY - DEC 21, 2011
Clear golden body with a thin white head. No lacing. Aroma of biscuits and malts. Taste was simple. Very basic beer but not bad.

Bottle. Light golden colour. White head of average size. Hoppy aroma. Sweet malty note with a metallic touch. Dry finish of short duration. Excellent Export. Ungstrup (37655) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - DEC 1, 2007
Bottled. A golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty - and so is the flavor, simple but nice. maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - OCT 11, 2007
Bottled. A hazy light gold coloured beer with no head. This was very cold and the haze was probably chill haze. The aroma is nicely hoppy with some lemon notes and a touch of buttery malt. Some dry malty flavour. Quite clean and mellow with no off putting buttery flavours i often find in helles. Pretty refreshing. yespr (45508) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - OCT 3, 2007

_o’s place, thanks Chris. Pours pale yellow with a white head. Dry malty aroma. Flavour is dry malty, slight sweet with a slight fruity note. End is dry malty too. Average German urtyp.
Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is salty hops with some sweetish malty hints. Flavour is malts, salty hops and not much else. Quite wellbalanced and clean thing, but still boring.
