Bottle BBE: Apr 2016. Chilled. Pours a clear chestnut brown body with medium, tight, off-white head; good lacing. Rich treacle toffee nose, a little floral. Dominant, medium-heavy sweetness to taste; a little butterscotch. Full-bodied with a creamy texture, medium-low carbonation (spot on for style) and a tooth-coating, honey-sweet finish. Overall an enjoyable, but overly sweet ale. Scottishchris (723) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - FEB 6, 2014
Bottle from Keswick bottle shop. Pours slightly hazy deep golden. Small frothy white head. Biscuit and malt on the nose. Faintly floral. Lightish body. Low carbonation but pleasant. A little watery with very light hops. Pleasant enough and drinkable. Dr_Butty (87) - SCOTLAND - JAN 29, 2012
Dog and Gun, Keswick. A pale ale, golden but a little hazy, not perfectly clear. Head goes quickly. Little aroma, hint of hops. Good body, biscuity malt and slightly floral hops. No great bitterness for a pale ale. Drinkable stuff though.

Pours hazy golden with a small, creamy, white film head. Aroma has oranges, light peach, piney and some malty sweetness. Medium carbonation, light and dry mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet at first with good, crisp malts. Then fine piney and light fruity hops bite. Lingering grassy bitter finish. Good.
