Couleur orangée un peu trouble, bonne mousse. Nez bizarre malt doux, coing, houblon ’’vert". Gout malté doux, houblonné leger avec un citronné sucré-savon-lactique. Particuliere pour une noel mais pas désagréable.

50cl bottle from a trade with kevnic2008, many thanks! Pours almost clear dark golden colour with a huge most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of dry and grainy malt, mild sweetness. Taste of grainy malt, pale malt, very dry, mild bitter grassy hops.

Erzengel (9613) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - JUL 5, 2015
*Old rating. Best before 20.03.12. The beer is fresh and smooth. Malty, hints of grain, fresh and smooth. Nice round aftertaste with hints of caramel. Nice.

Koelschtrinker (21756) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - JUN 11, 2015
Sehr getreidiger Antrunk, der sonst hohl erscheint. Im Mittelteil dann etwas malzig, die Getreidigkeit sinkt deutlich. Etwas herb, untypisch für ein Weihnachtsbier. Wenig aromatischer Nachgeschmack. 8/8/7/6/8/7

Bottle, thanks Quack-Duck! Raspberrylike aroma. Amber, offwhite lace. The base tastes like dark bread with blueberry jam - solid malt with pleasant fruity flavors, mostly berries, apples. Nice aromatic flowery hops on top, berries retronasal. Mellow sparkly mouthfeel. For once a really interresting German Christmas beer!

Thanks G.B.
Pours a golden yellow with a large white head. Smells of deep rich malt, fruit, a little earthy. Sweet and malty, a little metallic flavor, slightly dry on the finish. Medium body and slightly oily feel.

Bottle 50cl, from Quack-Duck a clear amber beer with creamy head. Nose is malty and toffee like. Aroma is nice on toasted, grain, malt, hops, slightly honey, pleasant body and especially nice hops finish on grass and round hops. A good one.

Quack-Duck (9534) - Down South, GERMANY - DEC 18, 2011
bottle, bought at the brewery. Clear, deep golden colour, large and persistent off-white head. Grainy -malty aroma. Medium-bodied, robust malty base with some quite resiny hops, slightly grassy with a lemony touch on the finish. A surprisingly hoppy Weihnachtsbier.
